I've known Doug for about a year.
What I have observed about him is that he is a staunch patriot and family man, is thoughtful and has a sense of humor.
He has his finger on the pulse of what is going on in our area.
When asked why he wanted to run for the legislature, he said he felt that he was called to do so. Someone who chooses duty over leisure is already THE CREAM OF THE CROP, in my book.
The issues that he would champion are things that are affecting people in our area, negatively. His concerns include the tax increases leveled at homeowners. He wants to find solutions that would bring relief to homeowners.. When people are able to keep more of their hard earned and saved money, they spend more, they hire more and they keep the economy robust. It would be a win/win to have Doug champion that issue.
He also mentioned his concern about the change in the housing situation in our area. I believe that Doug would brainstorm for ideas that would still allow people to develop real estate, that would enhance the complexion of neighborhoods.
He brings a lifetime of experience and wisdom to the table, which is so needed in leadership.
Doug pursues current and efficient avenues in his communication making him a public servant, who will stay current with people of any age.
I heartily endorse Doug for legislator. He knows what matters and will fight for it and for his constituents.
