I was born in Idaho, and my family has proudly called Idaho home for five generations. When I was three, my father moved us to Boise to work for the Idaho State Fish & Game Department, and our first residence was the original Harris Ranch. I attended Roosevelt Grade School, East Jr. High, Boise High, Boise Jr. College, Boise State College, and Boise State University.
My journey has been rich with experiences that have shaped my commitment to our community. As a young paper boy, I won a trip to New York City where Jack Dempsey was our escort. During this visit, I had the unique opportunity to broadcast a message of Freedom over Radio Free Europe and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.
With a background in computers and technology, I have worked at a BYTE shop, managed Northwest Computers in Boise, and owned Commercial Computer Co. in Boise. I also managed the computer system for the City of Boise, City Shops, and served as the National Trainer for a national supplier of software systems for the management of large vehicle fleets. I was the first employee in the Treasure Valley for Safelink Internet, and my wife and I owned and operated a low-voltage installation and maintenance business in the Treasure Valley.
My community involvement extends beyond my professional career. I served as the Idaho State Manager for the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), was president of the Voice of Idaho Amateur Radio Club, and presided over the Idaho State Convention (Amateur Radio). Used my communications skills to support many community events.
Hewlett-Packard sponsored the international women’s Challenge from 1997 to 2002
The Radio Amatures in the Boise Valley area supported the race by providing radio communications in many areas.
I rode in the lead support vehice and provided comentary to the finish line on what was
happening in the race
My passion for conservative politics has been a lifelong endeavor. I ran for Boise City Council in the early 1970s and have been a registered Republican since I was 18. I have voted in every election and have been very active at the Precinct level. I have also served as a Chief Judge for Ada County Elections for many years and am currently a Precinct Committeeman in Legislative District 1617.
I am the proud recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award from the President's Council on Service and Civic Particeipation.
The Certificate of Achievement from FEMA for IS-700
As a motivated and qualified native Idahoan, I am deeply committed to serving our community. I understand our legislative system and am in touch with Idaho’s needs and its citizenry. With your support, I would be honored to serve as your next Idaho State Senator for LD16.
Thank you in advance for your vote and for recommending me to friends and neighbors. As always, I am open to your comments and suggestions. Please feel free to contact me at Send mail!.
Together, we can continue to make Idaho a great place to live, work, and raise our families..
